マイケル・スペンサー
エデュケーター、ファシリテーター、ヴァイオリン奏者。
元ロンドン交響楽団ヴァイオリン奏者、元英国ロイヤル・オペラ・ハウス教育部長。現在、Sound Strategies経営責任者。スペインで唯一自主運営をしているバレス交響楽団（バルセロナ）にて、教育プログラムと経営方針の特別顧問を務める。世界各地で芸術教育プログラムを開発・実践し、さまざまな芸術団体や企業から高い評価を受ける。日本でも社団法人日本オーケストラ連盟・文化庁後援により、24のプロオーケストラと各地で教育プログラムを実施。2006年皇后陛下ご臨席のもと、紀尾井ホールにてワークショップ型コンサート開催。2008年には、教育ディレクターを務めた『ピーターと狼』がアカデミー賞(短編アニメ部門)を受賞した。
近年では、英国免疫学会の依頼を受け、科学者と芸術家、地域コミュニティーとの共生を目的とした芸術プログラムを英国各地にて制作・実践している。NHK-BS『旅のチカラ』でも活動内容が紹介された。

Michael Spencer
A former member of the London Symphony Orchestra and Head of Education at the Royal Opera House (London), Michael Spencer is a widely experienced educationist. He works internationally with Arts organisations and corporations devising and implementing strategic education programmes.
In association with the Ministry of Education and the Association of Japanese Symphony Orchestras he has worked extensively throughout Japan with its membership, and this initiative has received the special interest of Her Imperial Highness, the Empress Michiko. He holds advisory posts with both the Orquesta Sinfónica del Vallés (Barcelona) and Ueno Gakuen where he is guest fellow of the Music and Culture Research Centre. In 2008 he was the education director for the Oscar-winning animated film of Peter and the Wolf. He is currently working consulting for the British Society for Immunology on a national programme bringing together artists, scientists and communities. This was featured on the NHK series Tabi no Chikara.
